Rinpa Ko-Imari Style [Small Plate]

During the Edo period, Arita potters incorporated various stylistic aesthetics unique to Japan. One of these is the style of Rinpa art, perfected by Korin Ogata. He depicts familiar subjects such as garden trees and flowers in bold compositions and colors, and expresses this characteristic in Arita ware through the generous use of gold. This pattern is a reproduction of a design representative of the Old Imari style. With large chrysanthemums in full bloom against the indigo background, garden trees peeking out from the window paintings, and a harmonious combination of white porcelain, colored illustrations, and gold, this is a luxurious piece of Arita ware. *The 8th to 10th images are for reference and show how they look when stacked and how the sizes are different.
