Rinpa Ko-Imari Style [Small Plates, set of 5] in wooden box

During the Edo period, Arita potters incorporated various stylistic aesthetics unique to Japan. One of these is the style of Rinpa art, perfected by Korin Ogata. He depicts familiar subjects such as garden trees and flowers in bold compositions and colors, and expresses this feature in Arita ware through the generous use of gold. This pattern is a reproduction of a design representative of the Old Imari style. With large chrysanthemums in full bloom against the indigo background, garden trees peeking out from the window paintings, and a harmonious combination of white porcelain, colored illustrations, and gold, this is a luxurious piece of Arita ware. *A set of 5 pieces will be delivered in a wooden box. If you do not need a wooden box, please purchase it on the individual item page. For large orders for gifts or campaigns, please contact BloomSource.
